The Challenge
The Florence–Rome High-Speed Rail Line, a strategic section of the European rail corridor, required a major technological upgrade to integrate state-of-the-art railway systems. The objective was to migrate to ACCM, ERTMS/ETCS, and SSCM standards, ensuring the highest levels of safety, interoperability, and operational efficiency.

Our Contribution
As a trusted engineering partner of Hitachi, Te.Si.Fer. provided specialist engineering support for the deployment, testing, and commissioning of the new signalling systems.
Key Activities Included:
- Development of the detailed design for the SCMT train protection system.
- Detailed engineering design of the IXL (Interlocking) system.
- Operational support during commissioning and maintenance activities.
Outcome
The project transformed a historic railway corridor into one of the most advanced rail systems in Europe. The implementation of ACCM and ERTMS technologies now delivers the highest standards of interoperability, operational efficiency, and traffic management safety.
